New DJ Shah Single is coming!
"DJ Shah ft Adrina Thorpe - Who will find me" is the title of the new single and the first world wide reactions are unbelievable. Shah received hundreds of statements from people from around the world and they are going from: "the most beautiful track ever", "best vocal tune since motorcycle", "tune of the year", "summer sure shot", "simply amazing", to "this track has been written on the beach (comment of Armin van Buuren himself, when he heard it the first time)".

The track isn’t promoted yet and the reactions are coming just in fact that the song appears on Armin van Buuren’s new A State of Trance 2007 CD compilation and will also be the A - side of the ASOT 2007 Vinyl which features the best exclusive tracks of the CD. It seems that DJ Shah has made a big international hit record and that this tune will be his big breakthrough into the international music scene.
He has a fast growing fanbase and had also a really big year of 2006 and a good beginning of 2007 with a lot of great and successful releases as "DJ Shah meets Jan Johnston - Beautiful (A State of Trance)", "Sunlounger - White Sand (Armind)", "Global Experience - Zanzibar (Blackhole)", "Black Pearl - Bounty Island (A State of Trance)", "DJ Shah - Palmarosa (A State of Trance)", "Sunlounger - Aguas Blancas (A State of Trance)". His song "White Sand" is also featured on Armin van Buuren’s DVD!

As one of the hottest names of the current electronic dance music scene and as a workaholic, he is also busy with a lot of other very important stuff and should get the attention that it deserves. His long awaited Sunlounger album is finished and will be released around July and the new single under his Sunlounger allias is called "In & Out" and can also be heard on Armin’s new CD. He has also started to to compose and produce new songs for his DJ Shah solo artist album which will feature a lot of different singers/songwriters and will also be released on the Armada label.

He also signed a new project called "Purple Mood - One night in Tokyo" to the UK based top label Anjunabeats and a new "Global Experience - Malaysia/Madras" (Blackhole) is also finished and don’t forget all that stuff on his own labels Shah-Music and Magic Island Records.

Next to his work as producer, he runs also a successful radio show called Mellomania which will be currently developed to a lot of new stations worldwide and he has also a great own compilation series under the same name. The new CD "Mellomania Step 10" will be released in the end of June.

DJ Shah has created his own style called "Balearic". Infos (UNBEDINGT BEACHTEN!!!):
Für Mellomania Exclusive 03 wurde eigens eine Straßenbahn angemietet, die dann per Sonderfahrt etwa 6 Stunden quer durch Karlsruhe und Umgebung fährt. Und natürlich sorgen DJ Shah und Pedro Del Mar für Euch live für Trance und Balearic Sound. Die Tickets sind streng limitiert auf 150. Wir gehen davon aus, dass alle oder fast alle Tickets über den Vorverkauf weggehen. Hier einige wichtige Hinweise, die unbedingt beachtet werden sollten und die Teil der Vereinbarung des Ticketerwerbes sind:

1. da die Tickets streng limitiert sind und wir auch nicht mehr als 150 rausgeben können, zählt die bekannte Devise: "wer zuerst kommt...". Dies bedeutet nicht, dass man bestellt und mit dem bezahlen erst einmal abwartet (so geschehen auf den vorangegangenen Parties), denn das wäre unfair den anderen gegenüber und blockiert nur unnötig nicht benötigte Tickets. Somit gilt dieses Mal: "wer zuerst bestellt und den Betrag begleicht...".

2. da wir mit den Tickets genau planen müssen, gibt es dieses Mal ein engeschränktes Rückgaberecht. Natürlich kann jeder die Tickets für den Fall, dass etwas dazwischen kommt, stornieren. Der Betrag wird aber nur bis 10 Tage vor dem Event rückerstattet, also bis einschließlich 06.12.2006. Alle Stornierungen, die ab dem 07.12.2006 eingehen können deshalb leider nicht mehr berücksichtigt werden.

3. Die Straßenbahn rollt um 18 Uhr los, deshalb empfehlen wir, sich mindestens 30min vorher am Startpunkt (der noch bekannt gegeben wird) einzufinden. Wenn die Bahn losgerollt ist, gibt es keine Möglichkeiten mehr, hinzuzusteigen. Die Tickets verfallen in diesem Falle und werden nicht rückerstattet!

4. mit erfolgter Bestellung werden diese Bedingungen automatisch anerkannt und sind Vertragsbestandteil.

Leider müssen wir für diese Party auch 15 EUR im Voverkauf und 18 EUR an der Abendkasse (sofern vorhanden) verlangen, da die Kosten für uns leider recht hoch sind. Wer sich Tickets im Vorverkauf sichert, bekommt außerdem ein Gläschen Willkommenssekt gratis. Getränkepreise sind identisch mit den vorangegangenen. Hier möchten wir an unserer Preisstruktur festhalten (Auszug):

i have finished my follow up single to beautiful. this time i made the decision to do an instrumental track as my dj shah record, because my last single beautiful was a vocal tune, but the most dj's played the dub/instrumental mix. i have send it to armada and again they all love it and armin van buuren made the world premier of my new single in his last weeks radio show.

ich habe meine follow up single fertig produziert. dieses mal habe ich mich dazu entschlossen eine instrumental nummer als neue dj shah single zu machen, da meine letzte single ja ein vocal track war, aber die meisten dj's nur die instrumental/dub version gespielt haben. habe den neuen titel zu armada geschickt und wieder mögen dort alle den titel. armin van buuren hat palmarosa letzte woche als weltpremiere in seiner radiosendung gespielt.

the global experience remix i made for tiesto's dance 4 life track on the magik muzik release is the wrong remix! it's also a global experience remix, but the remix i made for johan gielen's revelation. sorry for that, but it was not our fault.

bedeutet nicht klares wasser, wie viele meinen oder auch in einigen foren schon diskutiert worden ist, sondern, mit aguas blancas werden in ibiza die sog. nacktbadestrände bezeichnet, deshalb gibt's ja auch einen "where to get naked mix". ich hoffe, dass ich ein bischen helfen konnte:-) euer shah

shah made a collaboration with the top trance producer ralph fritsch, btter known under his aliases fridge, vectrex or komakino. together they made a real melodic trance tune which is directly signed again from armada(armin van buuren). the name of the collaboration has the name black pearl - bounty island. you had the chance to have a listen 3 times on armin's radio show. he has played "dj shah's san antonio harbour mix"

endless blue - salty waters will be released on mondo records, the label of darren tate. the label is going to do more remixes for a full release later this year. you can hear the "dj shah's terrace mix" on the album "mondo session".

nun ist's dann auch endlich soweit, sunlounger - white sand wird in den nächsten wochen veröffentlicht auf armind. ich habe es mir natürlich nicht nehmen lassen eine follow up single dafür zu machen. der neue titel heist aguas blancas und die gitarren dafür stammen natürlich auch wieder von york persönlich. armin van buuren hat den titel auch schon in seiner radio sendung gespielt und er wurde direkt als future favorite gewählt.

endlich ist es soweit. die langerwartete neue dj shah single, wird am 10.7. auf a state of trance/ armada veröffentlicht. tiesto spielt ja den titel schon seit vielen monaten in fast jedem set und auch die anderen großen dj's wie z.b. armin van buuren oder paul oakenfold spielen "beautiful" rauf und runter. der titel ist ja auch auf armin's a state of trance 2006 zu hören und erfreut sich seitdem, tag für tag größerer beliebtheit unter den weltweiten trance fans.

zanzibar/ san salvador wird am 3.7. auf tiesto's blackhole label veröffentlicht. zanzibar ist auch auf tiesto's "in search of sunrise 5", mark norman & cor fijneman's " around the world in 80 days" und natürlich auf "mellomania step 5 & 6" zu hören.

Hallo Mellomaniacs,

heute schreiben wir auschließlich auf deutsch und richten uns dabei speziell an die zahlreichen deutschen Mellomaniacs (wobei natürlich auch Mellomaniacs aus aller Welt hierbei willkommen sind).

Wie ihr alle wisst, gibt es in Deutschland kaum noch Events und Parties für uns Mellomaniacs bei denen wir Trance/Progressive auf die Ohren bekommen. Das Problem hierbei liegt zum einen darin, dass die Masse diese Musik nicht mehr hört, sich zu wenige der namhaften DJs trauen, diesen Sound in deutschen Clubs zu spielen, aber vor allem auch daran, dass die Clubs immer weniger in DJs investieren möchten und somit oftmals keine Einigungen zustande kommen. Dies ist nicht zuletzt auch der Grund, dass sämtliche DJ in aller Welt spielen, nur nicht in Deutschland.

Da die allgemeine Clubpolitik abseits von einigen Ausnahmen nicht nach zu vollziehen sind, habe wir nun beschlossen, eigene Parties vernab von Clubs und Discotheken zu veranstalten. Dabei ist uns wichtig, dass die Locations die wir anmieten keine 1.000 Personen fassen sondern stets 150-250 Leute. Streng nach dem Motto „we are one family“ sollen die Events überschaubar, limitiert und exklusiv bleiben. Dabei werden keine Flyer- oder Plakataktionen gestartet, sondern ausschließlich über unser Mellomania Sprachrohre: Radio Shows, Newsletter, Websites. Wir möchten dadurch auch vermeiden, dass Leute auf die Events kommen und sich dann Hardstyle oder Kirmes wünschen.

Die Tickets gibt es voraussichtlich ausschließlich über den Vorverkauf und sind streng limitiert. Für den ersten Event werden z.B. nur 200 Tickets herausgegeben frei nach dem Prinzip: wer zu erst kommt....

Wichtig ist uns dabei auch, dass die Preise fair sind. Viele Clubs verlangen für ein Bier 4 € und für ein Envion Wasser gar 5 € was schlichtweg unverschämt ist. Unsere Getränkepreise werden sich voraussichtlich bei 2,50 € für das Bier und 2 € für eine Cola einpegeln. Dies ist im übrigen auch ein Grund, weshalb wir unsere Events in etwas anderen Locations veranstalten um selbst die Preise bestimmen zu können.

Hinzu kommt, dass man als DJ wenn man in einen Clubgebucht wird nur ein bis maximal zwei Stunden Zeit hat, seine Sets zu spielen. Trend dabei sind immer kürzere Sets. Deshalb starten Shah und ich nun die neue Eventreihe „MELLOMANIA EXCLUSIVE“ bei denen sich die DJs selbst wesentlich besser entfalten können, fernab von irgendwelchen Interessen von Clubbetreibern.

Die erste Party findet bereits am 27.05.2006 im Landkreis Esslingen (bei Stuttgart) statt. Hier die Details:

in the past weeks i received so much emails regarding my sunlounger project. thanks for that and i'm really happy that so many people around the world are into this song. the project was planned to release on my own balearic label magic island records, but armin van buuren has personally signed this track for his armind label. white sand is set to release in june and ready to become a summer tune for all:-)

One of Germany's most up and coming trance producers has a devastating array of fresh productions coming up on various highly respected labels like Armada and Black Hole. Next to this, he's also getting settled with his own label.

General:
With more than 200 releases in over 60 countries and spots in numerous charts, Shah has become a settled name over the years. As he's getting known in the trance scene more and more, he keeps working on his DJ career and his productions constantly. It looks like 2006 is going to be his biggest year to date: loads of big DJ's are playing his tunes, and some of the biggest labels have shown interest in his works. At the moment, he's the only German producer who is signed to both Armin van Buuren's Armada and Tiësto's Black Hole labels at the same time. A bunch of his other aliases have been signed on labels like Deep Blue, Tsushima, Progressive State, Innovative UK and others.

Remixes:
Remix-wise, Shah hasn't been sitting still either: currently, he's working for Paul van Dyk's Vandit label, as well as doing interpretations of new singles by projects like Solarstone, Lost Witness and DJ Spoke. Last year, he made remixes for the likes of System F, The Thrillseekers, Johan Gielen and Josh Gabriel.

New Single featuring Jan Johnston:
Shah has teamed up with none less than Jan Johnston for his new single 'Beautiful (A Glimpse Of Heaven)'. Jan has already worked with Tiësto, Paul Oakenfold and Paul van Dyk in the past and is one of trance's most respected vocalists. The single was picked up by Armin van Buuren immediately, who started playing it in his sets and signed it to his Armada label directly for a worldwide release. It's been supported by Tiësto and AvB for months now and sets to be one of 2006's vocal anthems.

Upcoming Releases:
After debuting on Black Hole with Global Experience - 'Tennessee / Dakar' last year, Shah has already signed two new releases to the same label. Savannah - 'Savannah La Mar' and a new Shah & Laruso pres. Global Experience EP called 'Zanzibar / San Salvador' will be released on Tiësto's label in the near future.
Next to this, his collaboration track with York called Sunlounger - 'White Sand' is being caned by Armin as well and will be brought out on Armada in June. Magic Island - 'Paradise' is another track which has been signed to Solarstone's Deep Blue label.

Current Releases:
While were just two months into 2006, Shah has already put out no less than 6 productions on various international labels this year. But that doesn't mean he's sitting still: at the moment, he's recording his next solo single for Armada together with one of the best singers of the past few years. The name of the singer is still a secret, but this might just become another big track!

Shah's own label: Magic Island Records
The end of 2005 meant the introduction of Shah's very own record label, which concentrates on his own productions in his typical Balearic style. The third release by Brian Laruso called the 'Independent Groove EP' will be out early March and has already gained support from Perry O'Neil, The Thrillseekers, Simon & Shaker etc.

roger was asked from paul van dyk's vandit label for a dj shah remix for one of the vandit projects. the project is called "the nomads - the holy land spirit". shah made a cool but driving "balearic sundown" remix and also a dub version of it.

sunlounger is a new project of dj shah. in the past he made some remixes under this alias but now it's time to do an own single. for the first release shah made a collaboration with the famous guitar player york and they made a moody balearic track with tribal elements, cool beats and a great guitar melody line. armin van buuren has heared the track and made the decision to sign this project for armada. great!!! thanks armin:-)

bin zur zeit sehr viel mit remixen beschäftigt, so habe ich/wir die letzten wochen folgende remixe fertiggestellt: the thrillseekers pres. hydra - affinity (shah & del mar's chillin' at coastline remix), josh gabriel - alive (shah & del mar's balearic remix), johan gielen - dreamchild (shah & del mar remix), m factor - come together (dj shah's sunsea remix). diese remixe werden natürlich auch alle auf der mellomania 03 zu hören sein.

sitze gerade im studio und mache einige remixe von bekannten künstlern, die zum teil exklusiv nur auf der nächsten mellomania 03 cd sein werden. unsere anfang april erscheinende cd ist für mich persönlich etwas ganz besonderes, da wie schon gesagt einige exklusive remixe drauf sind, als sowohl auch zwei exklusive neue tracks von pedro und mir und besonders freue ich mich, dass wir dieses mal auf viele bekannte große namen verzichten und einige tracks von unbekannteren produzenten, oder newcomern präsentieren können, ohne an qualität zu verlieren. lasst euch überraschen.

nachdem ja unsere mellomania 02 ausverkauft ist, geht es auch schon wieder los mit dem erstellen der mellomania 03, die in der ersten aprilwoche aller vorraussicht nach erscheinen wird. wie gewohnt mit highlights aus der sendung und natürlich wieder jeder menge neuen, ganz frischen und auch wieder noch unveröffentlichten tracks. ich selbst werde auch wieder einen exklusiven song beisteuern, der nur auf dieser cd sein wird und evtl. sogar den einen oder anderen titel in meinem ''balearic'' style remixen, um euch was ganz besonderes bieten zu können. wir halten euch in unserer radiosendung natürlich auf dem laufenden.

hi, wie ihr ja sicherlich schon bemerkt habt, habe ich seit einiger zeit meinen musikstyle etwas verändert bzw. erweitert. da es immer mehr progressive trance tracks gibt, habe ich mich entschlossen auch in unserer sendung zu den üblichen tracks, mehr von dieser musikrichtung zu spielen. ich selbst nenne meinen neuen style nicht mehr trance, sondern ''balearic'', da sehr ibiza lastig. auch als produzent werde ich dieses jahr gezielt mehr balearic sound produzieren und abgesehen von den singles für pedro del mar und sasha da link (da bleibt alles wie gehabt) viele neue projekte und kooperationen an den start bringen. lasst euch überraschen. gruß shah

hallo an alle mellomania und shah music fans. nach wohlverdientem urlaub und einigen online problemen, bin ich nun wieder am start und werde regelmässig wieder news für euch schreiben. habe mir für dieses jahr sehr viel vorgenommen! da es momentan ja nicht so viele clubs gibt, in denen man gute musik spielen kann, verbringe ich noch mehr zeit im studio, um dieses jahr euch mit sehr vielen neuen projekten aus dem hause shah music zu versorgen. wir haben ja noch ende letzten jahres sehr geile deals mit toplabeln wie tiesto's blackhole oder deepblue, dem label von solar stone gemacht. desweiteren sind viele neue projekte und follow ups unserer künstler geplant. als erstes wird es in einigen wochen die erste mellomania allstars auf vinyl und mp3 download geben, mit 4 tracks von dj shah, pedro del mar, laruso und sasha da link. ebenso ist ja mellomania 03 auch schon in unserem hinterkopf, da der release wahrscheinlich mitte/ende märz sein wird. so, bis demnächst. roger
